By train From Dresden, take the S-Bahn in the direction of Schöna to Heidenau station. Change trains there and take the "Müglitztalbahn" (lines RB 72 or RE 19) to Lauenstein station. Coming from the opposite direction, drive from Altenberg to Lauenstein train station. Coming from the Lauenstein train station, walk left across the street, then walk for about 10 minutes along Bahnhofstrasse, which always leads uphill to the market. From the market, the path leads through the castle gate to the castle entrance.
By car Coming from the A17 motorway, turn left onto the S174 in the direction of Altenberg, following the main road until you reach the town of Lauenstein. Here you turn left over the bridge, then follow Teplitzer Straße to the market square. Free parking spaces are available on the market square. If you are disabled, we recommend parking directly in the courtyard. The entry and driveway to the castle is located directly on the market.
